Department Manager, Traffic Engineering

Mr. Kansara is a Professional Engineer and Professional Traffic Operations Engineer with 16 years of experience in traffic engineering and transportation planning, with projects ranging from intersection safety projects to transit corridor studies. He is highly experienced in capacity analysis, traffic studies, safety improvement studies, data collection planning and coordination, transit signal priority studies, work zone traffic control plans, pedestrian capacity and safety assessment studies, traffic calming studies and strategic planning. Mr. Kansara has extensive experience in single and mixed-use development studies throughout the New York metropolitan area including trip generation and forecasting, impact assessment and mitigation measures.

Mr. Kansara is responsible for client engagement and management for a diverse client profile that includes private clients and public agencies, ranging from schools, private developers, municipalities, counties, transportation agencies like MTA and PANYNJ, and state and city DOTs. He supports overall business development on traffic engineering projects, coordinates with other design groups within the firm including Civil, Highway and Structures team on roadway design, drainage studies, construction impact management and cost estimation.
