Mr. Chiou has extensive experience providing services for the scoping, analysis, inspection, and structural design of bridges and structures, including projects involving the rehabilitation, replacement and reconstruction of bridges. He has performed structural design of all substructure elements, pile foundations, superstructures (straight and curved steel, prestressed and precast concrete beams) and bearings, and has prepared design and inspection reports, plans, specifications and cost estimates. Mr. Chiou’s ability to incorporate Context Sensitive Design practices has merited several awards during his career.

Mr. Chiou holds an MS in Structural Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology and a BSCE. He also has Advanced Training in Seismic Design of Highway Bridges, AASHTO LRFD procedures for Bridge Design, and Seismic Assessment of Regional Lifelines. He is a registered Professional Engineer in New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania.
