Project Role and Scope of Work

IH is serving as the prime consultant for the George Washington Bridge Lower Level Priority Repairs. The structural scope of work for this Task Order includes field verification of all repair locations identified under QAD Tracking Nos. GWB-BR507-001 through GWB-BR507-006 (totaling 33 locations), review of all relevant documents available from the Authority, preparation of a Design Development Report (DDR), final contract documents, cost estimate, custom specifications, design calculations, construction schedule, and post-award services.

The DDR scope includes the field inspection findings, preliminary design schemes, recommendations for all priority repairs including any temporary support required, shielding and relocation of utilities, construction cost estimate for all the repairs identified in the DDR, and Maintenance and Protection of Traffic required for the recommended repairs.

IH has completed the design of the project under the current contract and repackaging the plans and documents under a new contract. This project is anticipated to be completed on time and within budget.
