Project Role and Scope of Work

IH currently serves as prime consultant on this project. Due to the poor condition of the existing pavement, our proposed design includes pavement resurfacing/reconstruction, widening for 2.35 miles of roadway to provide a consistent roadway width, regrading, cross slope, curb and gutter upgrades to comply with NJDOT and NJDEP Regulations and Guidelines. 

Civil / Highway Engineering

IH is also conducting traffic analysis and developing intersection improvement concepts for two existing signalized intersections. Other responsibilities include evaluating ADA compliance and bicycle compatibility throughout the corridor.

Upon completion of Preliminary Engineering, IH will conduct a Community Outreach Program including meetings with the local officials, emergency services and a Public Information Center.
