Project Role and Scope of Work

IH served as the prime consultant for this project. This was an advance contract to provide ITS implementation for the upcoming $600 million Route 295/42/76 Direct Connect Project.

This project provided new ITS equipment in strategic locations so the traffic flow can be directed and monitored during construction of the Direct Connect and after the construction is complete.

The project required construction inspection of various items such as VMS signs, cameras, traffic signals, lighting, junction boxes, foundations, wiring, controllers, modifications to the communication hub, fiber optic installation, and Maintenance and Protection of Traffic (MPT).
