Our staff is primarily headquartered in Princeton, with branch offices in Hackensack, NJ and Manhattan, NY, and project specific offices in various locations. The following is a summary of the qualifications of our Key Personnel.


IFTEKHAR HOSSAIN, PE

President and Principal-In-Charge
Mr. Hossain has extensive experience in the analysis, design, and constructability review of structures including moveable bridges, culverts, tunnels, buildings, sign structures, and various types of foundations including pile foundations. He has performed dynamic analysis on several structures, has prepared design reports, plans and specifications and cost estimates, evaluated bid documents and provided construction support services. He has worked with various structural materials such as prestressed and precast concrete, steel, and composite materials. Mr. Hossain also has experience with bridge inspection and load ratings and he has managed and successfully completed several projects ranging from simple to complex ones.

Mr. Hossain holds an M.S.C.E. from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a B.S. in Civil Engineering. He is a registered Professional Engineer in New Jersey and New York.


MICHAEL J. BRUNO

Senior Vice President
Mr. Bruno has extensive experience in construction inspection, management, and design with an emphasis on transportation projects. He is a seasoned construction manager and has worked for numerous transportation agencies such as the New Jersey Turnpike Authority, New Jersey Department of Transportation, New York City Department of Transportation, NJ TRANSIT, New York State DOT, New York City DOT, and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. His experience also extends into environmental, mechanical, electrical and buildings. Primary components of his experience have been the management of projects of varying complexity in structural, civil, and site development.

Mr. Bruno holds an M.S.C.E. in Construction Management and a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. He has Primavera Expedition training and is a member of ASHE, ASCE and the ASCE Construction Institute.

 

KENNETH E. NEYMAN, PE

Vice President, Engineering Services
Mr. Neyman brings over 36 years of experience designing and managing transportation projects in an increasingly higher level of responsibility. He is well versed in all phases of bridge and highway design from inception to final design through construction. Mr. Neyman has successfully managed projects for various major transportation agencies including the New York State DOT, New York City DOT, TBTA, PANYNJ, NJDOT, NJTA, and several counties and municipalities. He has also performed inspection and design services for various types of new and renovated facilities that include, salt shed buildings, material storage buildings and parking garages.

Mr. Neyman holds an M.S. and a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. He is a member of the Municipal Engineers of the City of New York, American Society of Civil Engineers, American Concrete Institute, and the American Engineering Alliance. He is a registered Professional Engineer in NY, NJ, FL, PA and CT.


GEORGE SHOLY

Vice President, Business Development
Mr. Sholy brings over 33 years of experience designing and managing large transportation projects in an increasingly higher level of responsibility. He is well versed in all phases of bridge and highway design from inception to final design through construction. Mr. Sholy has successfully managed projects for various major transportation agencies including New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT), New Jersey Transportation Authority (NJTA) and South Jersey Transportation Authority (SJTA), and various Counties in New Jersey.

Mr. Sholy holds a B.S. in Civil/Construction Engineering Technology from Temple University. He also has a B.S. in Business Management from Franklin Peirce University. He is a member of the American Society of Highway Engineers (ASHE).

 

CHARLES W. YOUNG

Business Strategy Advisor
Mr. Young has over 40 years of experience in the transportation industry including 30 years at the New Jersey Department of Transportation where he served as Resident Engineer, Project Field Manager, Regional Construction Engineer, and Executive Director of Operations. He has managed staff and operations in excess of 350 employees. He is adept in the construction management and construction inspection of Highways, Bridges and Transit facilities and has overseen hundreds of projects varying in size from one hundred thousand dollars to over one hundred million dollars.

Mr. Young holds a B.S. in Civil Construction Technology from Thomas Edison State College, is certified in NJDOT Project Management, and has extensive training and experience in Construction Claims Management and Project Scheduling.


JOHN W. KORUNOW, JR., PE, CME

Operations Manager and Department Manager, Civil/Utility/Traffic Engineering
Mr. Korunow has extensive experience providing transportation engineering services, including, but not limited to: design, reconstruction and rehabilitation of bridges, interstates, freeways and land service highways to toll facilities, and signalized and un-signalized intersections. He has also provided services for numerous concept development and feasibility assessment studies, design exception reports, and corridor studies. He has managed transportation projects of all sizes and scopes, and has proven experience providing QA/QC on a wide variety of transportation projects including those involving drainage and utility engineering, Right of Way (ROW) and access design, maintenance and protection of traffic (MPT) and context sensitive design.

Mr. Korunow holds a B.S.C.E. from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. He is a registered Professional Engineer in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania, and a Certified Municipal Engineer in New Jersey.


WEN-JINN CHIOU, PE

Department Manager, Structural Engineering
Mr. Chiou has extensive experience providing services for the scoping, analysis, inspection, and structural design of bridges and structures, including projects involving the rehabilitation, replacement and reconstruction of bridges. He has performed structural design of all substructure elements, pile foundations, superstructures (straight and curved steel, prestressed and precast concrete beams) and bearings, and has prepared design and inspection reports, plans, specifications and cost estimates. Mr. Chiou’s ability to incorporate Context Sensitive Design practices has merited several awards during his career.

Mr. Chiou holds an M.S. in Structural Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology and a B.S.C.E. He also has Advanced Training in Seismic Design of Highway Bridges, AASHTO LRFD procedures for Bridge Design, and Seismic Assessment of Regional Lifelines. He is a registered Professional Engineer in New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania.


DAVID X. CHIU, PE

Project Manager, Civil/Utility/Traffic Engineering
Mr. Chiu has extensive experience providing site/civil engineering services, including the design of major highways, roadway reconstruction and rehabilitation, transportation studies, traffic engineering, stormwater management, drainage, and utility engineering. Mr. Chiu has managed a wide range of projects involving stormwater and drainage design, utility engineering, hydraulic studies, hydrological engineering and environmental permitting applications. He has prepared design exceptions, specifications and engineering cost estimates for numerous clients.

Mr. Chiu holds an M.S.C.E. from the New Jersey Institute of Technology in Transportation Engineering & Planning and a B.S.C.E. from Jilin University of Technology. He also has Advanced Training in Civil Design and Traffic Analysis Software. He is a registered Professional Engineer in New Jersey and New York.


SID W. SIDHOM, PE

Project Manager, Structural Evaluation
Mr. Sidhom has extensive experience in NBIS bridge inspection and load rating projects, with additional work experience in bridge rehabilitation projects. He has conducted inspections on sign structures and bridges of every shape, type, and form including railroad bridges and complex bridges. He is extremely familiar with in-depth inspections, fracture critical member inspections, scour critical inspections, and fatigue prone details. He has successfully managed projects and led inspections for several major agencies in the tri-state area such as NJDOT, NJ Transit, PennDOT, DRPA, and NJTA as well as several New Jersey counties.

Mr. Sidhom holds a B.S.C.E. from Cairo University and is a registered Professional Engineer in New Jersey, New York, and Delaware.


BRIAN M. STANKUS, PE, PTOE

Senior Traffic Engineer
Mr. Stankus has significant experience in the areas of traffic signal design and signal timing, signing and striping plans, traffic engineering studies, intersection capacity analysis, traffic impact analysis, and traffic engineering reviews for development applications on behalf of land use boards in the State of New Jersey. He has the proven ability to create the appropriate tables, figures and illustrations to aid in interpretation of data and explanation of complex transportation issues for public sector clients and public testimony. He has performed work for both public and private sector clients, including numerous counties and municipalities such as Monmouth, Cape May, Burlington, Somerset, and Middlesex as well several major transportation agencies. He is well versed in all MUTCD and NJDOT Design Standards, and has experience utilizing the latest MUTCD, HCM, and Synchro software applications.

Mr. Stankus holds a B.S.C.E. from Norwich University. He is a registered Professional Engineer in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania, and is a nationally certified Professional Traffic Operations Engineer.
